KRISTA HILDEBRANDT is the owner and CEO of Alpengardener. She has owned Alpengardener since she created it in 1991. She has called Gunnison and Crested Butte her home since 1985. She is an Advanced Master Gardener and has professionally gardened and landscaped since 1982. She has acquired her skills by gardening in 3 different climates, for several different companies and now with her husband and two boys, she designs, consults and is the lead Gardener On The Spot.
BETH HANSON is the Garden Center Manager and has been with Alpengardener since 2003. In addition to all that she has learned in Crested Butte, she owes the ‘dirt’ of her gardening knowledge to being raised in Minnesota. Beth does extensive research for material to be sold at our garden center to ensure you have quality products offered at a fair price, acclimated for our climate, and friendly for our environment. Beth is a Master Gardener and is extremely knowledgeable and very creative in helping everyone who shops at our garden center.
ELLEN OSTERLING is the Education Manager and Head Potter. She is an Advanced Master Gardener and has been with Alpengardener since 2001. Ellen is an expert in color and style when designing potted gardens and she, along with Beth, does an incredible amount of research on all the products sold at the garden center. Her skills learned in Crested Butte and on the East Coast, and her local knowledge and attention to our local environment is why Ellen is the lead coordinator of the Saturday gardening classes taught at Alpengardener.
ANDREA HEDEAN-STANSBURY is the Maintenance Manager. Her hard work, dedication to her field of expertise, and desire to be environmentally conscious make her a key team player in Alpengardener. She strives for having educated customers, helping each client make the most responsible decisions possible relating to their individual landscapes and local environment. Andrea is also an Advanced Master Gardener who has a passion for gardening both at work and at home.
CHRISTIE HASZ is the Office Manager. Her professional attitude and attention to detail insure that our customers are being treated right. Christie has worked for Alpengardener since 2001. She began as a gardener and graduated to the office. Her skills and knowledge are obvious in her own garden, and especially when dealing with our customers.
